WHO IS SELFOR?

I’m Selden! I'm a digital artist and information design strategist based in Richmond, Virginia. As a detail-oriented perfectionist who stresses—nay, loses sleep over—the minutiae, I strive for creativity and clarity in all that I do.

WHAT’S YOUR STORY?

For over ten years, I worked in marketing and advocacy advertising, planning and launching effective, results-driven media campaigns for my clients at a boutique media consultancy in Washington, DC.

When I wasn’t at work, I was living with my camera permanently affixed to my hand and taking visual arts and journalism classes, and reminding myself why I wanted to be a part of the advertising world to begin with. In 2019, I launched Selfor as a place to marry my passions: Art and advocacy.

I’m a designer and digital artist. That comes in handy. I’m also a detail-oriented perfectionist. That part's essential. 

In my years in media and advertising, I’ve executed projects for startups and established clients alike, planning impactful media campaigns, developing captivating visuals, writing vivid copy, and establishing consistent standards that put the polish on the brand. Across the spectrum, one truth has remained: the details matter.

Creative, consistent details with a call to action are the keys to making something special, and I seek to execute this with every project.
